An independent party-game studio · New York City

Games that turn a couch
into a party.

We make loud, easy-to-learn multiplayer games for living rooms full of friends — because that's exactly where we came from.

Our storyIt started with eight controllers and a bag of dice.

For years, our group of friends has had a standing ritual: someone hosts, someone brings the console and a small mountain of controllers, someone brings the board games, and the night disappears.

We noticed the games we kept coming back to had something in common — anyone could join mid-evening, nobody sat out, and the room got louder every round. Eventually the obvious question came up: why don't we make one of these?

So we did the responsible adult thing and started a game studio. TAFS Games exists to build the games we always reach for on those nights — and to get them onto the consoles in your living room.

What we makeParty games with three house rules.

Pick up & play

If it takes longer than thirty seconds to explain, it's not in the game. Grandparents, kids, and that one friend who "doesn't play games" — everyone's dangerous by round two.

Everyone plays at once

No split screen, no waiting for your turn. Our games put up to eight players on one shared screen, in the same chaos, at the same time — the way board games already work.

One more round

Short rounds, dramatic comebacks, and just enough chaos that the loser always has a story. The game ends when the host kicks everyone out, not before.

In the labKeep up with the light, or be eaten.

An 8-player torchlight racer

Our first title is a top-down party racer for up to eight players on one shared screen — no split screen. The race leader carries a torch, and the torchlight is the only world there is. Fall behind into the darkness, and the things that live there will eat you.

Short rounds, dramatic comebacks, and a first place that's dangerous to hold. Built the way we build everything: prototyped at our own game nights until the room is shouting. Coming first to PC, with living-room consoles as the destination.
